Avesta reveals new super duplex wire

Avesta Welding has expanded its already extensive duplex product range by introducing a new super duplex flux cored wire: Avesta FCW 2507/P100-PW. The wire is of the rutile type and has been specially developed for the positional welding of steels such as 2507, 1.4410, UNS S32750, Zeron 100, 1.4501, UNS S32760 and for dissimilar welds between these and austenitic or carbon steels. Avesta FCW 2507/P100-PW features superior mechanical properties combined with excellent corrosion resistance at working temperatures from –50°C to 220°C. It welds with a stable arc and the weld pool and slag are easy to control, making it a welder-friendly and cost effective alternative for demanding applications including desalination, pulp and paper, flue gas cleaning, salt water systems, oil and gas and offshore.
