Order for award-winning machining centre

DMG has just received the first UK order for its award-winning DMC60S-FD CNC machining centre to manufacture manifold valves in exotic metals for the petrochemical industry. The DMC60S-FD was judged to be the “Best Metal Cutting Machine Toolâ€? – Prismatic in this year’s Metalworking Production Awards and has now been ordered by MTS Byfold Fluid Products of Manchester to manufacture manifold valves for the petrochemical industry. The valves are to be machined from a range of exotic materials including high-grade stainless steel. Other established customers who have chosen to invest again in DMG technology include M Sport in Cumbria and Prodrive of Banbury, both of whom will be employing their new machines to produce motorsport and general automotive parts. M Sport ordered a DMU100T universal machining centre and Prodrive, a CTX410 universal turning machine and a DMU50ev for high dynamic five-sided machining. The production of motorsport- as well as defence components will also be the role of the new DMC63v vertical machine that will augment the DMG line at Luton-based, Racing Fabrications. In addition to orders from existing users, DMG is delighted to confirm orders from new customers too. Othy Medical of Cheltenham will soon take delivery of a DMU50ev and Swindon company, Retrac, a DMU70ev for manufacturing motorsport parts. To enhance their machining capabilities, subcontractor Beechwood Engineering in Lancashire, has chosen a CTX320 linear turning machine whose linear drive technology promises high productivity.
