New welding process by De Tomi

De Tomi company has announced the start-up of its internal Cladding process.
The company’s welding qualifications WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), PQR (Procedure Qualification Record) and WPQ (Welder Performance Qualification) are in accordance with the most used international welding standard, the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code IX.
Currently one cladding machine is already working and can accommodate components up to 6 tons of maximum weight. Three more machines have been purchased and will be assembled in the next months, to cover a weight range from 25 Kg up to 30 tons. The most common deposit welding metals are Inconel625 and 316L, but other materials can be used depending on customer requirements.
De Tomi’s investment in this process allows the company to manage and optimize the entire process of valve production, including pre-machining, cladding and final-machining in-house to assure quality, reduce lead time and cut costs.
