Vallourec has announced the creation of a new subsidiary, Vallourec Umbilicals, to keep pace with the growing requirements of the offshore oil-fields’ exploitation. The company will produce welded stainless steel pipes designed to be fitted into umbilicals at a plant located near Valtimet in Venarey-Les Laumes, France. This solution will allow the company to widen their Premium Offer. Production will start at the new plant in 2011.
