Outokumpu has appointed Liam Bates as the President and Head of Business Area Quarto Plate and member of the Outokumpu Leadership Team. Liam has been leading the Quarto Plate operations in Europe and the production unit in Degerfors, Sweden since September 2014. Reinhard Florey, CFO and interim CEO of Outokumpu said, “Liam has extensive industry and commercial experience. During the past year he has taken a firm lead on the quarto plate operations in Europe. I would like to thank Kari Parvento for his contribution in the ramp-ups of Ferrochrome, Coil Americas and Quarto Plate, and I wish him all the success for the future.”
