At the start of 2005 AMI began shipping the new Model 307 Tube welding power supply. In the interest of continued product improvement, AMI has been in close contact with many of its M307 customers. Based on their suggestions AMI has added new features and system upgrades: the Model 307’s operating system has been upgraded to Windows XP allowing communication with a wide variety of peripheral devices; RAM has been increased from 64 to 256MB; added current sloping between levels, smoothes out the “steps” seen in critical welds; slope distance programmed in actual time or degrees; the unit now operates in 33 pre-programmed languages; and free upgrades are available for existing Model 307 customers.
