Statoil is opening an office in Doha, capital of Qatar, to extend the existing representation of its International Exploration & Production (INT) business area in the Middle East. âThis country has big gas reserves, and market trends for that commodity are very promising,â? notes Arnfinn Jøssang, who has been appointed to manage the new office. That applies particularly to natural gas which has been liquefied for shipment to Asia and the USA.
