The Al-Rajhi Co. for Industry & Trade plans to install a new 1 million tons per year meltshop in Riyadh. Construction should begin in mid-2003 and will include an Electric Arc Furnace, a ladle furnace, and a continuous casting machine. Al Rajhi already produces rebars in Riyadh, for which it imports and buys billets locally.
