Contrinex has introduced its marine-standard inductive sensors with a V4A stainless steel housing that is impervious to sea water and salt spray and will not rust in extreme maritime environments. Machined from a single piece of stainless steel that includes the sensing face, the Marine Series 700 range can withstand extreme impact, high shock levels and resist virtually any chemical stress. The sensors are sealed to 80bar providing IP69K protection and can withstand water pressure to a depth of 800m. Suitable for sub-surface and topside applications, these sensors are for use on ROV grippers, ferry ramps, cranes and other equipment in all types of vessels, harbours, docks and oil rigs and in any other installation subjected to continuous salt spray. They are supplied in M12, M18 and M30 sizes, in embeddable and non-embeddable formats with a built-in LED plus short circuit, voltage reversal and overload protection.
