Miniature joints

Universal joint manufacturer Belden introduces high precision miniature joints. With an outer diameter of 8mm, the new joints are suited specifically for miniature machinery, medical equipment, model making and many applications in which space is restricted. Originally developed in 303 stainless steel for a manually operated minimal invasive surgical instrument, the miniature joints are also available in various grades of stainless steel and alloy heat-treated steel. The standard version has an operational angle of deflection of up to 35. On request, Belden can develop modified versions with a higher angle of deflection or double universal joint assemblies. Some applications include: packaging and conveying equipment, food processing equipment, steel roll forming and levelling equipment, machine tools and woodworking equipment for the furniture industry, OEM machine tools, steering, shift linkage assemblies for race cars as well as industrial and off-road vehicles.
