Metals USA Inc. has announced the sale of its Specialty Plates and Shapes operations in Broadview (Illinois, USA), Hazel Park and Grand Rapids (Michigan), and Cleveland and Dayton (Ohio) to ALRO Inc. of Jackson, Michigan. ALRO operates over 40 warehouses covering 12 states in the central and eastern USA, specialising in aluminium, stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, tool steels, plastics and industrial supplies. In addition, the company recently closed on the sale of its Salisbury, NC, and Newark, NJ, facilities to Wells Manufacturing Co., Dura-Bar Div. in Woodstock, Illinois. The Dura-Bar Division of Wells Manufacturing is the largest world-wide producer of continuous cast bar stock and the only producer in North America.
