Central Wire Group’s (Perth, Ontario) President and CEO, Larry Smith has announced the promotion of Stan Merrick to Vice President of Techalloy Welding Products. In this capacity, Mr Merrick assumes responsibility for the worldwide sale of Techalloy’s family of stainless steel and nickel alloy welding wires and electrodes. Prior to this appointment, Mr Merrick served the company as Director of Sales for North America, and before that as Techalloy’s Director of Marketing. He began his career in the welding industry more than 25 years ago as a member of Teledyne McKay’s research and development department and as one of that company’s product and sales managers. Assisting Merrick in overseeing the company’s sales and marketing network will be Gary Powell, Director – Export Sales, and Christina Partoza, Manager – Sales Operations as well as the balance of the Techalloy Welding Wire sales team.
