Marcegaglia commissions new lines in Russia

Marcegaglia has commissioned two new automatic lines at its subsidiary Marcegaglia Ru, for the production of electro-welded stainless steel tubes in Vladimir, Russia. The new EUR 5 million lines will generate electro-welded stainless steel tubes, 70mm in diameter for the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. Marcegaglia has invested EUR 22 million in the construction of its 16,000mt/yr plant, which is set to be increased to 35,000mt/yr by 2014. The initial two lines at the plant were commissioned in late 2009. The project involves a total investment of EUR 50 million.
