LBC to build additional tank capacities

LBC has initiated the construction of additional tank capacity at the LBC terminal in Botlek – Rotterdam in February 2016 in order to meet the increasing demands of its customers. In line with expanding its jetty capabilities, LBC is further investing in its Rotterdam terminal and storage capacity will be increased to 250.000m³.


The first 36.000m³ expansions of stainless steel tanks has started and will be operational in the first half of 2017. Additionally, upgrades to the railcar and truck loading facilities will be carried out to accommodate a large range of liquid chemicals. The terminal will be able to handle products requiring vapour treatment, mixing and blending as well as those requiring dedicated temperature controls.
