Kuwait: liquefied gas plant

Kuwait Oil Tanker Co. (KOTC) has signed a KWD 54.6 million contracts with South Korean Hanhwa Co. to establish a liquefied gas plant. Mr Nabeel Burisli CMD of KOTC said that the project to be established in Um Al Aish area in northern Kuwait aims to stress the state’s production capability. The new plant will provide 15 million cylinders of gas every year 160% of the capability of the current plant. The plant will be built on an area of 150,000sq/m. Mr Burisli said that the project will provide the needs of the northern region of the state and the new cities and projects like Bobyan Port and Al-Hareer City, adding that it will serve the local market until 2030.
