Krupp Uhde to build PVC plant in Poland

Zaklady Azotove w Tarnowie-Moscicach AG has commissioned Krupp Uhde with the engineering and construction of a PVC-S plant with a capacity of 100,000 tonnes per year. It is to be integrated into an existing polyvinyl complex and will be designed to use the Vinnolit process. All processes will be environment-friendly and conform to the strict European standards. Krupp Uhde’s scope of supplies will include the engineering, supply of equipment and the supervision and commissioning of this plant. The contract is worth some DEM 32 million. The plant, which is to be constructed in Tarnow, is scheduled to come on stream at the beginning of 2003.
