Krupp Uhde acquires TESSAG Edeleanu

As part of its expansion into the refinery technology market, Dortmund-based Krupp Uhde has acquired the engineering and plant construction company TESSAG Edeleanu GmbH, Alzenau, from the RWE Solutions group. The acquisition of Edeleanu’s process portfolio is an excellent fit for Krupp Uhde’s fields of activity. TESSAG Edeleanu GmbH and its subsidiaries in SE Asia, Edeleanu Asia Pte Ltd (Singapore) and Edeleanu Sdn Bhd. (Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia), as well as the employees of the Brünn office of TESSAG Praha, will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Krupp Uhde GmbH in Dortmund on approval under merger control law. Through the acquisition of Edeleanu Krupp Uhde, an engineering company in the field of large-scale chemical and petrochemical plant construction, is aiming to strengthen and expand its market presence in its core activities of refinery and petrochemical technology as well as in specialities in the field of chemical engineering and gas technology. Edeleanu’s twenty-year presence in Asia is also to be used as a focus for increasing the efforts of the entire Krupp Uhde group in addressing the Southeast Asian market.
