Kronos raises price for titanium dioxide

On 14 October 2008, Kronos Worldwide Inc. announced price increases for titanium dioxide sold across Europe, effective 15 October 2008. Prices for all titanium dioxide grades sold in western Europe will be increased by EUR 150 euros per metric ton. Prices in eastern Europe, including Russia, will be increased by EUR 120 per metric ton. The increases follow price hikes announced earlier for those areas.
