Kjellberg Finsterwalde has announced that it will highlight its plasma cutting with HiFocus technology, automated change of torch heads, plasma powder deposition welding, and newArc technology at the trade fair Schweißen & Schneiden 2009 on 14-19 September in Essen, Germany. The new plasma torch PerCut 450M will be presented at the fair on a plasma-cutting machine of the type HiFocus 440i at the rotator of the guiding machine. This torch is equipped with long-living consumables and, therefore, cutting with very high speed is possible. An Automatic Torch Changer ATC installed on the same guiding system will show for the first time how a flexible and quick automated change of torch heads can be carried out. The machines of the new CUTi series for manual plasma cutting are characterised by low weight and high capability. The inverter CUTi 35C with integrated compressor will also have its premiere at the fair. The new CutFire 100i is a plasma-cutting unit suitable for CNC applications including cutting thin and medium-sized plates. Kjellberg Finsterwalde also offers the new technology newArc for nearly all application areas of MIG welding. In contrast to the spray arc, with this new technology the arc is much more focussed. Higher welding speed, deep and stable root fusion and good quality of the welding seam are further advantages in addition to considerably reduced power consumption. Wear protection systems offer high hardness and corrosion resistance on extruder screws, flanges and for example rollers by applying plasma powder deposition welding which will be demonstrated at a separate welding stand. Ferrous, nickel and cobalt alloys are preferred, the base material being only partially melted and a blending thus being prevented in contrast to alternative technologies. Visitors can see these and other novelties for plasma welding and cutting on an exhibition space of 254m2 at Kjellberg Finsterwalde’s stand 317 in hall 5.
