Jindal Stainless recognized as ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Unit’ by CII

Jindal Stainless, one of India’s leading stainless steel manufacturers, has been recognized for its excellence in sustainability and energy management. Its Hisar (Haryana) and Jajpur (Odisha) plants were recently awarded the title of ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Units’ at the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) National Awards for Excellence in Energy Management 2025. These accolades reflect Jindal Stainless’ commitment to decarbonisation, innovation, and responsible industrial growth.

The Hisar unit was commended for pioneering initiatives in energy substitution, renewable energy procurement, and process innovation, achieving a carbon reduction of 187,341 tonnes of CO₂ in FY25. The Jajpur plant was recognized for its leadership in energy conservation, renewable integration, and operational excellence, with key achievements including open-access and onsite renewable energy utilization, zero liquid discharge initiatives, and a CO₂ reduction of 130,907 tonnes in FY25.

Organized annually by CII, the National Awards for Excellence in Energy Management honor organizations making significant contributions to energy conservation and climate action.
