Italy: Terni site investment

As a key production site of ThyssenKrupp Steel AG, ThyssenKrupp Acciai Speciali Terni is to be strengthened by investment of EUR 124 million in stainless steel production by 2006. The investment will focus on a new EUR 30 million cold-rolling mill, which is scheduled to start production as early as 2006. Overall capacity at the Terni plant will be raised from the current level of 1.2 million metric tons to 1.4 – 1.5 million tons by fiscal year 2008/2009.
