Inco to construct nickel mine

Inco has announced that it will proceed with the construction of a nickel mine at its USD 1.4 billion Goro project in the French overseas territory of New Caledonia after operating a successful pilot plant at the site for several months. The company is seeking a partner that would contribute a portion of the capital costs for Goro and receive a minority stake in the project.
