Hygienic valve for pumping systems

The BioVent 391/813 hygienic control valve launched by Arca Regler GmbH has been developed for the chemical and food industry as well as for application in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector. The ball-shaped stainless steel body is designed for optimum flow characteristics and for CIP (Clean-in-Place) conditions. The design incorporates sealing elements without dead gaps preventing potential infection sources. The modular design concept also means that the valve is flexible enough to be used on many different duties. The valve has a pneumatic multi-spring diaphragm actuator with integrated positioner, to give greater control to end-users. According to the manufacturers, this layout should also help ease maintenance and cleaning procedures. In addition, the spring chamber is protected by exhausted air scavenging, as standard. The hygienic valve has been approved by the FDA for use in food production processes.
