Honeywell Ultravalve used in UK water mains

New UK water regulations now allow the use of Honeywell RPZ assembly Ultravalve (made of all stainless steel) in water mains where, originally, break tanks may have been used to provide an air gap. As a Honeywell stockist, Ultravalve offers the complete RPZ (reduced pressure zone) assembly which includes the F76 self-cleaning filter and pressure-reducing valve to stabilise the pressure where necessary. A major advantage of the stainless steel Honeywell range is that in pharmaceutical, food and beverage applications this is the only valve manufactured in all stainless steel construction and is therefore preferred for this type of application. “We saw the potential for RPZ valves for back-flow prevention some years ago, but unfortunately business was held back until the water supply regulations revision of 1999,” revealed Richard Pitman, Ultravalve director.
