Industrial services and products company Harsco Corp. has announced that its Heckett MultiServ division will expand its services at the AvestaPolarit stainless steel works in Sheffield, England, under a new five-year award valued at more than USD 12 million. The agreement further increases Heckett MultiServ’s scope as the primary service provider at the Sheffield site. Heckett MultiServ has been providing metal recovery and slag handling services at Sheffield – one of the world’s largest producers of precision stainless steel strip and coil products – for over 30 years, and raw materials handling services for the past 15 years. Under the agreement, scheduled to commence later this quarter following the commissioning of a new billet caster by AvestaPolarit, Heckett MultiServ will take responsibility for managing all billet movements and inventory on the Sheffield site.
