Harald Pihl expands European footprint with strategic acquisitions in the UK and Germany

HARALD PIHL, the Swedish master distributor of high-performance alloys, has announced the strategic acquisition of two branches of a prominent US-based alloy supplier, located in the UK and Germany. These entities will now operate as HARALD PIHL Ltd and HARALD PIHL Speciality Metals GmbH.

The newly acquired facilities include two warehouses with approximately 150 tons of high-end stock, including a substantial inventory of Western-sourced titanium. Both sites are equipped with advanced processing technologies, including water jet and laser cutting systems, CNC machinery, plate saws, and other specialised equipment, which enhances the company’s capacity to deliver value-added services.

“These acquisitions significantly strengthen our position in key industries,” said CEO Jonas Pihl in an exclusive interview with Stainless Steel World. “They also increase our number of customer approvals from leading companies in the highly demanding aerospace, defence, and medical industries.”

Customers of the newly branded entities will benefit from Harald Pihl’s hallmark service and logistical expertise. “We’re now even better equipped to handle large, complex orders while maintaining the flexibility and responsiveness our customers expect,” Jonas added. “This expansion gives us a stronger presence across Europe and establishes a long-awaited home base in the UK.”

The company also warmly welcomes the staff at both sites into the HARALD PIHL family. “We look forward to integrating their expertise into our team,” said Jonas. “These acquisitions bring not only premium materials and high-end clients but also valuable industry know-how. It’s a perfect match that aligns with our long-term vision and commitment to excellence.”
