A new guide from Esab aims to provide the correct consumable specification when welding stainless steels. The guide cross-references between the recommended Esab product designation and the wide variety of stainless alloy compositions for quick, accurate specification. Base materials are listed according to commonly used designations including AISI, BS, Werkst Nr and EN standards. The metallurgical composition of the recommended filler material is also provided.
