GEA presents a new decanter at ACHEMA 2022

With the pilotMaster, GEA presents a new decanter at ACHEMA 2022 in Frankfurt that is of crucial importance for process and product development in the chemical industry. The robust 2-phase separating decanter is particularly suitable for smaller production volumes and for upscaling tests. Its geometries correspond to those of GEA’s large production machines. This ensures reliable upscaling and thus investment security.

Optionally, it is available in ATEX design. The pilotMaster has special protection against erosion and corrosion and thus against aggressive substances and materials used in the chemical industry. Thus, all parts in contact with the product are made of high-alloy duplex steels, super duplex steels or Hastelloy C276. Depending on the application, the seals are made of NBR, FKM, FFKM, and EPDM.

The pilotMaster is the ideal machine for customers to reliably upscale to their production capacity. The centrifuge offers maximum flexibility in bowl speed from 1,000 RPM to 6,500 RPM, a differential speed range from 1 to 80 RPM without changing pulleys, and the same geometric configuration as the larger production machines. Chemical cleaning after the separation process is possible.
