Framatome wins German nuclear deal

Framatome ANP, an AREVA and Siemens company, has been awarded a long-term contract by RWE Power AG to supply three of the utility’s nuclear power plants with fuel reloads. It covers several reloads with uranium fuel assemblies for the Pressurised Water Reactor (PWR) units Biblis A (1167 MWe), Biblis B (1240 MWe) and Emsland (1329 MWe) as well as for the Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) plant Gundremmingen B (1284 MWe). Delivery is scheduled from 2004 to 2007. The order comprises reloads with various types of fuel assemblies manufactured by Framatome ANP. They will be delivered to the power plant units during scheduled refuelling outages.
