Foods plant in Louisiana

Al Copeland Investments, a privately held corporation and its division Diversified Foods & Seasonings Incorporated (Metairie, Louisiana) is constructing a new plant in Madisonville, Louisiana. The new USD 22 million facility located across Lake Pontchartrain north of New Orleans on a 50-acre tract of land, will produce Diversified’s lines of sauces, gravies, seasonings, and food products. Construction on the 55,000 square foot building began back in December of 2001 under the direction of general contractor Centex Engineering & Construction (Dyersburg, Tn). Completion of the project is expected sometime during the fall of 2002.
