Under Fluor’s purview will be the melt shop, casting, rolling, and finishing facilities for the steelmaking plant. Set to produce five million tonnes of steel annually by 2030, the H2 Green Steel site aims to achieve a remarkable reduction of up to 95% in CO2 emissions compared to conventional blast furnace technology.

Already underway, construction of the mill marks a significant milestone in the journey toward sustainable steel production, showcasing Fluor’s commitment to advancing environmentally responsible projects on a global scale.
