During the 1st International BuBi®-Symposium on 13-14 September, BUTTING was pleased to welcome numerous participants from all over the world in Knesebeck, Germany. Experts from Norway to Romania and Australia had come to get a better idea and understanding of the BuBi®-pipe and of the production facilities for mechanically bonded pipes. During various lectures, the participants learned about the latest findings regarding the production, welding and application of the BuBi®-pipe and were able to discuss these matters further. Due to the positive response of all participants, the BUTTING Management is confident that the BuBi®-pipe is and will be an acknowledged product not only in proven areas but also in new fields of application. Since 1994, BUTTING has been supplying more than 360,000 metres (about 22,000 tons) of BuBi®-pipes to companies like BP, ExxonMobil and Statoil.
