EWM introduces React welding process

EWM has introduced the React welding process, which comprises a Titan XQ R power source, an integrated RCC module, and the new React (reversing actively controller transfer) unit.

In this process, the wire moves toward the weld pool at high speed while the arc torches onto the weld pool and creates a molten droplet. When the wire contacts the molten metal, the droplet passes into the weld pool through a short circuit. The wire then is pulled out of the weld pool and the arc is reignited at very low power. The quick current reduction combined with the controlled mechanical wire movement allows spatter-free results.

The process stability allows high welding speeds with reduced heat input and, as a result, minimised distortion.
