Electralloy welcomes global forging execs Electralloy recently hosted a plant tour for more than 110 forging executives representing leading forging and forging supplier companies throughout Europe, Asia, South America and North America. Held in conjunction with the International Forgemasters Meeting (IFM) in Pittsburgh, the tour began with a scenic bus ride from Pittsburgh to the Electralloy facility in Oil City. Upon arrival at Electralloy, the attendees were given a guided plant tour that showed how Electralloy products are produced from start to finish, EAF/AOD melt to bottom pour to ESR/VAR remelt. The IFM conference, returning to the USA for the first time in 17 years, promotes the best in technical and business-oriented presentations for the worldwide forging community. Electralloy was among four companies who opened their doors to give IFM attendees a peek at the latest in specialty alloy manufacturing technologies.
“We were very proud to be able to showcase our capabilities and our employees to this premier group,” said Electralloy President, Tracy Rudolph. “We believe that in critical component applications where there is no room for error, the metal really does make the difference and we were delighted to be able to provide attendees with a close-up view of our production capabilities.”
