Delta switches

Delta Controls has launched a new range of rugged, compact pressure switches in stainless steel. The volume range is suitable for use in general purpose applications, aggressive atmospheres and hazardous environments across the process industry, including rotating machinery, valve actuators, safety shutdown and fire protection systems in the oil and gas and power generation sectors. The Volume Range is manufactured in the UK to guaranteed quality standards and offers stainless steel construction at prices comparable to aluminium or plastic alternatives. Value-engineered to meet OEM requirements, the compact, weatherproof design is easy to wire via a removable terminal block. A flameproof variant is available for a small additional cost.
There are currently two models in the range: the VM2, low-pressure switch operating from 0.25 bar to 100 bar, in single or double pole options, and the VM4 high-pressure switch which will operate up to 600 bar. The VM2 is ATEX compliant and can be supplied with EEx d IIC certification. The all-welded diaphragm and process connection eliminate the need for an ‘O’ ring seal, greatly reducing the risk of leakage in extreme or unusual conditions. There are various wetted parts options, such as nickel alloy (Monel) diaphragm and process connection to NACE MR-01-75.
