Della Martina retires from Woodside Petroleum

After 21 years with the company, Lucio Della Martina will retire from Woodside Petroleum. According to Woodside chief executive Peter Coleman, Della Martina will remain in charge of Pluto LNG and Woodside’s Australian assets as executive vice-president, Australian business, until his departure. The company recently announced the startup of its USD 14.9 billion Pluto LNG project which Della Martina has led since 2005, just after the Pluto field was discovered. A chemical engineer, he started his career with Shell and BP in South Africa, joining Woodside in 1991. Outside Pluto, he has maintained numerous commercial and technical roles with the company.
