CVE receives International Energy Award for RapidWeld

CVE emerged victorious at the Energy Institute’s International Energy Awards held in London, securing a prestigious industry accolade for its pivotal role in the groundbreaking RapidWeld project.

Collaborating with industry partners such as SSE Renewables, DNV, Sif Netherlands B.V., Agile NDT, and The Welding Institute, CVE spearheaded the award-winning RapidWeld initiative. Together, the consortium expedited the production of an offshore wind turbine monopile foundation designated for the Dogger Bank Wind Farm by leveraging CVE’s innovative Ebflow technology. RapidWeld showcased CVE’s ability to weld monopiles significantly faster than conventional methods, while demonstrating the remarkable environmental benefits of Ebflow: a 90% reduction in energy usage, an 88% decrease in costs, and a staggering 97% reduction in CO2 emissions.
