Cti moves on

Cti is to construct new headquarters on the Advanced Manufacturing Park in South Yorkshire, UK. The new premises will be more readily accessible to the growing stream of clients and visitors to Cti, and will provide the space necessary in which to increase the scale and scope of Cti’s R&D activities – particularly in advanced technologies, materials and products relevant to sectors such as defence, aerospace, medical prosthetics and motorsport. The existing 50,000 ft2 premises on its 2 acre site in Sheffield will be retained to maintain Cti’s ongoing activities, and a further 57,000 ft2 of workshop space with 17,000 ft2 of office accommodation will be developed on the new 5 acre site. Cti’s Chief Executive, Dr Mike Ashton noted that the company expected to move into the new premises by September 2004.
The facilities are part of as five-year plan to create new business for Cti’s members through new technology. The plan allows for 50 additional multi-disciplinary personnel to be added over the next five years to the current complement of 120.
