Clough Ltd has announced that its Offshore Division has been awarded a contract in excess of ASD 100 million for the Hazira Gas Project, located in the Bay of Cambay on the west coast of India for operator Niko Resources of Canada and Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd (GSPC). Work on the project will commence immediately with completion and first production due early 2004. This is the fourth project to be undertaken by Clough in India. The scope of the contract includes the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of: a 6-leg offshore drilling/wellhead platform in 18 metres water depth with an output of 150MM standard cubic feet per day of sales gas; and about 4.5 km of 12â? subsea pipeline inclusive of tie-ins and some modifications to the onshore gas plant.
As well as the Hazira project, the Clough group has also recently won oil and gas contracts in Indonesia and in the Bass Strait and North West Shelf areas of Australia.
