China: coal-fired power projects

According to announcements made by the NDRC on 29 April 2009, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has given approval to 12 large coal-fired power projects in the past three months. In February 2009, seven coal-fired power projects received approval from the NDRC. In March 2009, the Datang Nanjing Xiaguan Power Plant Relocation and Leqing Power Plant Phase II Expansion projects received approval from the NDRC. In April 2009, the Yongchang Power Plant Expansion, China Resources Nanshan Thermal Power Plant and Guodian Jianbi Power Plant projects received approval from the NDRC.
