    Alstom has won a second order, valued at around EUR 40 million, to supply gas turbines for phase 2 of a pipeline project in Algeria.

    BP strategic partnership in Russia

    Yangtze River Acetyls Company Ltd (Yaraco) has awarded Aker Kvaerner the front-end engineering design (FEED) phase of a project to expand an acetic acid facility at Chongqing, China.

    Ondeo Nalco contract with Suncor

    Ondeo Nalco Company, a subsidiary of SUEZ Environment Industrial Services, will deliver new oil and water treatment services to Suncor Energy Inc., which is involved in crude oil extraction from the vast oil sands deposits in NE Alberta, Canada.

    BJ Tubular Services has won a contract from Schlumberger Servicos de Petroleo Ltda to provide a range of tubular well services offshore Brazil on behalf of Petrobras.

    Cleaner coal plant

    KFx Inc. and Arch Coal, Inc. have announced that KFx and Arch Western Resources, LLC, a subsidiary of Arch Coal, have reached an agreement to pursue the development of a 700,000 tpy K-Fuel Plus(TM) plant.

    Osaka Gas investment
