Sumitomo Metal forms new company

Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd (SMM) has reached a policy decision at its Board of Directors Meeting to establish a new company to take over operations in the manufacture of crude zinc oxide currently performed by SMM Shisaka Plant located in Shisakajima, Miyakubo cho, Imabari shi, Ehime.

Tonkolili iron ore project

African Minerals Ltd has announced that the proposed investment by China Railway Materials Commercial Corp. (CRM) in African Minerals announced by the Company on 1 April 2010 has received approval of regulatory authorities of the government of China and has now been completed.

China: hydrogen plant

Air Products’ joint venture company based in Sichuan, China has signed a long-term agreement to build a hydrogen production facility for PetroChina Co. Ltd.
