POSCO will invest in a 200,000tns/yr cold rolled stainless steel plant in Vietnam. POSCO VST will build the plant in Vietnam’s Nhon Trach Industrial Complex, a cold rolled STS plant POSCO acquired in October 2010. Currently, POSCO VST’s annual production capacity is 85,000tns. POSCO VST will install a 100,000tn scale rolling mill and 200,000tn scale annealing equipment in the first phase of the expansion plan, to be completed by February 2012. This will result in a rolling capacity of 185,000tns. The company intends to attain 235,000tns of capacity by 2012 by adding 50,000tns of full hard from Pohang Steelworks.
