HMTL’s Unit III commissioned
Heavy Metal & Tubes Ltd. (HMTL) has recently announced the commissioning of its manufacturing facility, Unit III, for hot finish seamless tubes/pipes in carbon steel and alloy steel.Unit III has an annual capacity of approximately 75,000MTPA, has already started commercial production, and has executed orders from Indian refineries and export jobs.
Severstal JV begins production of blanks
Severstal-Gonvarri-Kaluga, a joint venture between OAO Severstal and Gonvarri, and part of OAO Severstal’s Russian Steel division, began producing blanks for interior and exterior parts of the Volkswagen Jetta.
This is the second model of Volkswagen to use parts manufactured at Severstal-Gonvarri-Kaluga and then stamped at Gestamp-Severstal-Kaluga, Severstal’s joint venture with Gestamp. Motherwell Bridge acquired by Cape plc
