Zamil Process Equipment Co., a subsidiary of Zamil Industrial Investment Co. (Zamil Industrial), was recently awarded a USD 7.85M contract by STF Italy to supply steam drums of various sizes and capacities for the Riyadh Power Plant 13 (PP 13) and Riyadh Power Plant 14 (PP 14) project in the central region of Saudi Arabia.According to the contract, Zamil Process Equipment will supply 36 steam drums (high pressure, intermediate pressure and low pressure) that weigh approximately 1,800t in total for the PP 13 & 14 Combined Cycle Power Plants project owned by the Saudi Electricity Company and located near Riyadh.

Industeel, a subsidiary of ArcelorMittal specialising in the production of ingots and high value-added steel plates, is to supply 4,000t of steel to AREVA for the building of six steam generators at the Koeberg nuclear power station in South Africa.   AREVA won a EUR 300M contract in September to replace the generators at the nuclear power station close to Cape Town, operated by Eskom, South Africa’s public electricity company.
