Caspian MOU signed

Rosneft and Kazakhstan’s Kazmunaigaz have signed an MOU regarding the development of the Kurmangazy field in the Caspian Sea. According to a Rosneft press release, company representatives visited Kazakhstan at the beginning of the week to hold talks with Kamunaigaz. Joint meetings were held by the working groups formed earlier to co-ordinate the project. The field will reportedly be developed on the basis of a production sharing agreement for which Rosneft and Kazmunaigaz need to form a consortium.
