BJ Tubular opens new base in Brazil

BJ Tubular Services (Aberdeen, Scotland) is increasing its South American presence with a new operations base in Macae, Brazil, located approximately 250km north of Rio de Janeiro. Although BJ Tubular Services has been carrying out casing and tubing running services and related well services in Brazil for nearly three years from its base in Mossoro in Northern Brazil, the new base offers significant benefits to clients and staff.
Ideally located in Macae, home to Petrobras’ largest operating base from which it supports a large number of deepwater developments, the base houses the full complement of specialist equipment. The 1800 square meter base serves as BJ Tubular Services’ primary base in Brazil, where all necessary administrative, engineering and operational services are carried out for key clients, including Enterprise Oil, and several other operators in the region.
