By road, it is almost 800 kilometres from Schio – the Italian home town of duplex stockist Divisione Trading – and the French city of Beaune, which is hosting the Duplex World 2010 Conference & Exhibition.
For the average motorist that’s a journey not to be undertaken lightly.
For Divisione Trading, however, working across such distances is an everyday occurrence.
For the company’s client base takes it to countries from South Africa to Sweden, and from Argentina to South Korea.
Divisione Trading’s ability to serve such a wide spread of clients is based on thirty years of technical experience, broad materials knowledge and a deep understanding of processes such as welding.

Moreover, indicates Export Sales Executive Mrs Valentina Dalle Molle Jones, clients appreciate Divisione Trading’s materials stocks that are unparalleled in Europe.
Full range
Established in 2003 as a trading branch of C.S.C. Spa, Divisione Trading’s focus is to provide stocks of increasingly used special alloys such as duplex, superduplex and super austenitics.
Says Mrs Dalle Molle Jones: “We are always looking for quality and reliability, and therefore cooperate with the major European steel mills, that are known and appreciated worldwide.”
“We can supply customers with a full range of products, from plates to bars, to all the fittings, we can even deliver the filler material and of course the finished products complete with welding and mechanical machining.”
At Duplex World 2010, Divisione Trading will be informing visitors about its stock availability, fast and well organized deliveries and development of new markets. Staff will also be answering technical questions about the use of duplexes.
New markets
Asked about current and future markets for duplex, Mrs Dalle Molle Jones replies that she expects constant demand from the traditional duplex markets.
“Typically, these are areas where high corrosion resistance and/or particular mechanical properties are required. For example, consider traditional sectors such as oil & gas, offshore, chemical industry, water & wastewater, power & energy, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper, etc.
Additionally, Divisione Trading is very active in helping to promote the use of duplex in new markets, she comments.
“We have noted that some countries are now upgrading from normal stainless steels such as 304 and 316 to duplex grades. These could definitely be interesting areas in the near future,” she concludes.
