Baoji resumes full production

After its operation was halted due to the 12 May 2008 Sichuan earthquake, Baoji Titanium Industry Co. plans to resume full production in mid-June. The Baoji, Shaanxi Province-based company, suspended operations on the night of 19 May 2008 for safety reasons. Some production has been restored, and full operation is expected by mid June. The 8.0-magnitude quake, centered in Wenchuan Country, Sichuan Province, had caused some damage to the company’s plant buildings although the main facilities are basically intact. The company said it had suffered no casualties or major losses in assets from the quake.
