Anti-flare system for Abu Dhabi

The Norwegian companies SAAS System and Aker Technology have received an order for the delivery of a system to prevent pollution from gas flaring on an oilfield in Abu Dhabi. The delivery includes a system which removes the demand for flaring at an oil plant in Abu Dhabi in the United Arabian Emirates (UAE). Unnecessary flaring is still in use at oil and gas facilities all over the world. Using modern technology the same safety goal can be achieved without the pollution. The new agreement represents an important beginning to the work of reducing emissions of carbon dioxide and other harmful gases from oil activities in the United Arab Emirates. Under the turn-key contract the two companies will use a local company for installation work.
